Stuck at Talushorn Level 2 to get crux of ages. need help!!

I'm currently stuck at Talushorn Level 2. I've cleared everything in sight on this level and there's no lever to open the portcullis or any way for me to move on. help pls... if anyone can provide me a walkthrough for this would be very very helpful.

One of those powder kegs from the storage room early on would be very helpful on the fence where the spearmasters were/are.

eerrrr... i'm still very lost here. how am i suppose to use the powder kegs from the storage room and use it on the fence which is in the other room where the spearmasters are??? pls explain further on this...

Pick it up. Walk to the room with the fence. Right click the powder keg in your inventory while facing an open space next to the fence, walk away and hit it with something ranged.

You made it all the way to Talushorn without noticing that powder kegs are movable in Book II? Left click the keg to pick it up. Right click it in your inventory to put it down. You can hold down the shift key and click a direction to turn your character without taking a step to make it easier to place powder kegs.

He can also just throw a flask of Demon Oil at the fence (if he has Demon Oil), if he doesn't want to deal with a Powder Keg because he doesn't have any other ranged weapons...

They weren't "movable" in Book I, so your confusion on this point is not at all surprising...
