Hi this is my first post on here,
i'm really enjoying Book II so far, but for the life of me I can't remember how to switch between melee and magic, though i did it earlier in the game.
This is relevant because currently im trying to destroy the Dragonel nest early in the game, and my magic is not enough without having to rest and im trying to use my axe. I have no idea how to switch back and forth.
I have tried:
- expending all mana then right-clicking with melee weapon drawn
- left and right clicking while adjacent to the target
- switching combat stances then attacking
I think it may be because i have used all 10 quick-spell slots so cannot de-select a spell ?
Thanks for your help.

Shift!
The command to attack something hostile is a left click, while casting a spell is a right click.
To physically attack something non-hostile, shift-click (or shift-right-click to cast a spell on a non-hostile). This is useful for bashing doors, barrels, chests, and nests.

As for the nest, when your low on mana/hp run away and hide in the trees and rest. Walk back and continue where you left off, or you could get hot tempered and blow your top...barrel top that is or a combo.
Once you have spells in slots and find more, you can overwrite them by going into the spell listings and just click on the spell you want, the level and then the slot number. It will delete the old and put in the new. If you don't want to delete any of them, as before go into the spell listings, click on spell, click on level and instead of slot number click on 'use this spell'. You can then right click away on whatever till you hit a number key to change it back. I do that with things like lore/cat's eye spells.
