Currently there is no penalty for swapping equipment during battle. An example of why this is a problem is to get around the carry weight limitation, you can just press ENTER to swap to no weapon and cast. I think changing it so any equipment change is a turn would be better for game balance.

I agree with that. Even if now is more easy and pleasant, but yeah it's not real and it's not fair in sense of balance and reality basis
