Yeah, it was sudden like. I'm a bit worried now though. My husband has been sick all day and coughing a lot. I apologized to him but made him stay on the other half of the house or wear a gauze mask on this side. I do NOT want to go back. The ER docs said if I hadn't gotten in and medicated/looked after I might have died of heart attack or gotten a stroke. So right now I'm being selfish about my health. Poor guy, and he had to finish the taxes today and get them mailed. He had to hand me the paper work with a 'claw' so I could check everything for him and right money amounts real small on the checks. He was coughing too much to do it himself. I'm on antibiotics..which are making me a bit to familier with the 'throne' if you get my drift. At least I only have to put up with it for 2 more days. My cough is so much better I got close to 7 hours sleep last night. Still have to catch up 5 days worth of no to little sleep. Can't tolerate the Bipap machine though so I'm on oxygen 24/7. Trying to keep a cheerful outlook on things. Coming here is a big help.

Heh, Yeah I've had that happen. Not to mention almost being killed off by care center food. They put parsley in everything but the pudding and apple sauce. I'm not joking either. The food at the hospital was pretty good considering I wasn't allowed salt, sugar and other tasty condiments.

Oh, as a bit of medical information for all of you. If you have an allergy to Latex, avoid eating: Avocado, Banana, Chestnut & Kiwi. They all have some of the same proteins as Latex and will cause a reaction as it does to Latex. Interesting. Wish I'd known years ago. I love banana's but they made me sick off and on, now I know why.

I'm bummed to hear this. Hope you feel better soon, Dragonlady. And stay away from that hospital... have you noticed only sick people are there? An awful lot of sick people. Yeah... I think there's something suspicious going on with these "health" centers.

Still haven't recovered. Still coughing but not as much thank gawds! Saw doctor on Monday and he said my lab tests were fine for me and he tried to talk me into getting blood thinner medications but that means going in every stinky week for tests to make sure I'm not bleeding to death internally or what have you. He okay'd me putting it off for 6 months. Still making my hubby wear a mask near me cause he's still coughing. Doctor said my coughing was from lung trying to heal itself and getting rid of irritants, like dry air, dust, etc. Xrays' showed I didn't have pneumonia. Told me to take Mucinex at night. Hate those commercials by the way. Mucinex does work though.

Gah, its still hot as I type this -81. Got to 90 today. Not used to it. They say it will go back down to low 80's high 70's over the weekend.

Thanks for the best wishes. I'm trying as hard as I can to get better.

Oh, and talking about hospitals and staying away. I didn't mention it but I did end up in the hospital April 8th-10th. Bad place to be. Luckily I got out before any other stuff got to me!

It WAS bronchitis according to lab testing and xrays. I've had bronchitis so many times in my life I should have recognized the symptoms. Hardly any coughing now, just a lot of throat clearing.

I hope I have a full recovery too! But, it did take a lot out of me and I have to double my vigilance for anything else happening (*picture me scowling at hubby and son*). Not to mention having to ignore my cravings for salty things and sweets. No more chips, salted nuts or yummy bacon.

I haven't had bronchitis since I was a kid, and I'm glad... bronchitis is not fun.
