When your character equips or un-equips weapons, armor items, will you be able to see the changes or do you have to go to a detail screen to see it the specifics??

Yes, your on-screen character changes in appearance. We haven't given every single weapon and piece of armor a unique graphic, but there's enough variation for you to see changes between major equipment swaps.
