New Website Testing
Who wants to help test our new website? PM me and I'll send you a link.
Why not post the link publicly, you ask? Because it's not ready to go full public yet, and if I openly post the link it will get scavenged by crawler bots and propagated around the world. I don't want hundreds of people/bots hitting it until a few of you have tested it out for yourself.
Also, I have not moved the forums yet (the forum link on the new website still points here to the old Dreamhost server), and that has to be updated before the new website goes live.
Anyhoo...the first 5 people to send me a PM can have a link, just click around, look for layout issues on whatever devices you're using, look for misspellings, give me your thoughts on readability, yadda yadda.

Re: New Website Testing
Thank you everyone, I think we have tested it enough on desktop browsers, we had some issues on mobile devices and could use a few more tests on those. Send me a PM if you have an older phone/tablet and can take a look at the new website for us.

Re: New Website Testing
Also, this morning I installed a new default style to the forums. If you don't see it, you can select "Drunken Lizard" from the Style options in your control panel.
If you do see the new Drunken Lizard style and do not like it, you can change it back to the built-in "ProSilver" style under that same control panel.

I like the new board style but miss the clear line right above your signature.

Re: New Website Testing
You're welcome. I made a few other layout changes, everyone who eventually sees this message should check out if there is any issues with their posts.
We should have enough testing done to push out the new website in the next 24 hours.

If I go to forums, then click on the Drunken Lizard Pub graphic in the top left, I'm sent to a blank screen.

Re: New Website Testing
This might be because you previously set "ProSilver" for your chosen style in your user control panel. Maybe a previous style that we had which you didn't like? So then when you log in, it's retrieving that preset style. You should be able to go into your control panel and verify, or I could reset it.Painted Lady wrote: August 3rd, 2026, 6:41 pm Also, when I log in the old web site in blue and silver becomes the default

Re: New Website Testing
Mine went back to prosilver but going into control panel and updating prefs to drunken lizard changed them back. After reading what has occured while on weekend vacation, or birthday bender, whichever you prefer, i read this forum and saw the posts.
workiing well and i like this new dark version a lot.
and the fonts cool AF imo.

Re: New Website Testing
Get busy for a few days, don't check in on the forums, the whole world changes.
Looks great. I like the new website, too. Have only gone through the top few pages, but everything reads fine on my side. I also had the forums go back to Prosilver when I first logged back in, but as mentioned, going into the user profile board settings let me select the new one.
