Work Update [June]

Post by BasiliskWrangler »

June has come and gone, here's what we have worked on:

- The Character Creator / Editor is done. It looks great, can't wait to show everyone. On that note, I still need to make a formal "Party Builder" module so that players can assemble their party from the pool of characters they built.
- A lot more UI updates, updated the mini-map, and added some new visual effects.
- Added about an hour worth of content to the first map, including a new boss fight.
- Fixed about 30 issues that I've been putting off.

July development will be more content focused, specifically the first village your party arrives at. It is technically there, but without any graphics at all and only the most essential (quest-giving) characters. I guess I need to get the Quest Journal functioning too so I don't have to continue to check the developer console to verify that Quests are activated properly 😕

Q: When will I share more screenshots?
A: Probably not until the formal game announcement along with a Steam page. Late summer.

Maybe just one little screenshot of the character creation page? Pretty please?

It's fun to see what all goes on in the background of making a game. As a player, we don't think how each of these things is a separate module that has to be built and come together to make the whole feel and activity of a game.

I'm with Painted Lady, though. Would love to see what the character creation looks like. :)

Late summer means the end of August?

Probably more like late September based on the completion schedule of the graphics/sound/music that are needed to produce the trailer and additional screenshots.
