Ah, thank you for this information. I can imagine that issues like that may split up a community easily. I think it is a good sign if a game is so liked that people all over the world would like to play it in their respective native language. But like with almost everything in life you have to ask if you want to use or work with things that are not yours. Well, the sense of guilt seems to take a nap when it comes to software. :|

Zbonek was one of the more unpleasant people to grace this pub. He was so persistent that he was almost, but not quite, funny. He acted as if he didn't totally understand English and just kept pounding away trying to get something for nothing. It was really nice when he left. Hopefully he won't start up again when Book III is released.

This topic made me curious, so I read the Zbonek-posts. Half of them were in Russian, so I did not understand but I have a strong feeling that they do not differ so much from the English ones (at least when it comes to the subject).

But what I am really interested in is the question which languages The Eschalon Books have been translated to. I read that an attempt to translate in French had been made which was discarded later for some reason.

Does anyone know if there are any other translations of the games available (except for Russian )?

Thanks for the link! So French is the only language that Book II has been translated to officially.

If he does start up again, he might be merged with The One's forces in book 3. The dialog will be incomprehensible and the only word I can understand is Pizdabol

 A NPC of that name could also be the local village idiot who messed up things in the community he is living in without knowing or understanding what he has done - so that the player character has to get things straight. And maybe the enigmatic word "Pizdabol" plays a major role in solving this situation.

Lol, an npc would be great.
