This might be because you previously set "ProSilver" for your chosen style in your user control panel. Maybe a previous style that we had which you didn't like? So then when you log in, it's retrieving that preset style. You should be able to go into your control panel and verify, or I could reset it.

That was the case - the silver had been set as my preference. Fixed now.

I've noticed that new posts don't have a color change that can be seen in the pro silver board style. That is new posts in pro silver shows a red color until you read it.

I now have to look at posted dates in the Drunken Lizard style to see which posts I have to read to catch up with the present. This can be a little irritating if I've been away for awhile and have a lot of posts added to a thread.

Can this be fixed?

It may be that login doesn't seem to be persistent right now. I noticed when I came back to the site this afternoon, I saw that there was a new comment in General Chat, but when I came into that section, it didn't show me which conversation had the new post, but I saw that you had posted this afternoon. When I went to reply to say that, it asked me to log in, which is odd because I logged in this morning and said to remember me.

Hmm, interesting. Well, one thing is that when we changed over, the forums now operate on a secure https configuration, and some browsers with old cached data may be having issues? Just a guess. It really seems to operate nominally for me on Windows (Firefox), Linux (LibreWolf), and Android (Brave browser), so I'm just not sure what it could be.

Also, this forum is being transferred over to a new server, like the website was a couple weeks ago. You'll likely only notice the forums offline for a day or two, we shouldn't lose anything

and after the website and forums should be more stable and handle additional traffic. We can dig deeper if the problems persist after that.

That is not what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about is the symbol that shows for the words 'Unread Post' is in red in prosilver style but not in drunken lizard style for any of the new listed posts.

I've tried to show this by the following example.

I switched between ProSilver and Drunken Lizard styles, and I am not seeing the red text element that Dies a Lot mentioned. Can anyone grab an actual screen capture of this, either post it here or email it to me?

It may be iOS blocking "trackers."

Perhaps, but I can assure you Basilisk Games doesn't use any tracking code/cookies- our website is bespoke and doesn't use any 3rd party code. The forums use phpBB, but as far as I am aware, it doesn't track anything either. Cookies used for staying logged in to websites are browser based (I believe) so clearing old browser data may fix it.

It really feels suspiciously like cached pages stuck in there. Look at the web address for the forums- it is now forums.basiliskgames.com. Previously it was basiliskgames.com/forums. If you have cached webdata or DNS info, that could be causing a lot of issues. See if you can just isolate basiliskgames.com in your browser settings and do a full purge of cached data/cookies.

Didn't have to clear the cookies. Just had to update my bookmark I've been using to get here for the last however many years. So, as the IT guys at one of my wife's old jobs used to say, turns out it's a DAU error. Dumb a$$ user.
