Hello !
This "problem" was present in Book1 as well, but I was hoping that it will "improve" in Book2 - I was wrong.
The "problem" is that NPC's don't care about what you say, they do not "remember" it.
I was speaking to the "priest" at the first town and insulted him, but after speaking to him again - the dialog started all over again as we never talked !
I would expect from him to ignore me or talk with me in a different manner, but he just doesn't care.
The same thing happens with all other NPC's, you can ask the same questions and get the same answers without this question being omitted after you ask it once.
This really harms the game world, the "realism" of the people in this world.
Maybe it would be "fixed" in Book3 ? ......
Dialogs
Re: Dialogs
Well, I guess that would add some realism to it, but basilisk games are about old-school RPG´s, and you know how it works when you speak to a shop keeper or a town guard, right?
This comic really says it all

Re: Dialogs
We have kept the dialog system simple so that it kept an old-school feel to it.MaximB wrote:Hello !

However, among other things for the next game, I am planning on expanding the dialog system to allow for greater flexibility. This will allow for more complex interactions with NPCs.
Re: Dialogs
Next game being Book3 or the Sci-Fi game you mentioned ?

"It depends" will likely be the answer.MaximB wrote:Next game being Book3 or the Sci-Fi game you mentioned ?
