Re: Witch's house chest puzzle
I actually solved it by accident, attempting to put 5 different items in to it but the first two together were exactly 5 pounds so I got lucky. No idea how long it'd have taken me to figure it out otherwise.

Re: Strong feeling of "half of the game cut before release"
I was also a bit bothered/disappointed that in the barbarian camp there's a gate leading north that you can open (and anger the guards by doing so) but if you go through you'll just get told that your fate awaits elsewhere. Might as well have said "we planned to have something here, but we ...

Quirks like that are just awesome, no matter how little sense they make.SpottedShroom wrote:At level 58 and above, items cost a negative amount - you actually get paid to take them."

Re: The Ending... [Heavy Spoilers]
I do agree that the ending did feel rushed, literally, advancing too quickly.
After getting to the guy in the dungeon with the massive infodump I had no idea it was already going to be the end. I feel there should've been SOMETHING before Malkur appeared again and there was a disappointingly easy ...

Re: Mage vs. Fighter
Because I always aim to be self-sufficient (capable of producing food & water, healing myself, repairing stuff, opening locks, identifying stuff and ideally capable of carrying a lot of stuff) I tend to go for a mix of Divine Magic and some melee weapon with just a tiny bit of Elemental magic thrown ...

Re: Divine magic much more useful than Elemental?
I found one too, but I don't see how portal would even be worth buying in book 3... the geo markers seem very conveniently placed, using portals would probably only save a small bit of walking.

Re: Divine magic much more useful than Elemental?
Huh, I remember that in Books 1 and 2 Fire Dart was roughly as powerful as Fleshboil. I suppose Shock is quite a bit more powerful than that then. Should've known it wasn't just a name & visual change.

Divine magic much more useful than Elemental?
I've beaten Book1 and Book2 and still going with Book3. Anyway it seems that over the course of the series Divine magic has always been more useful than Elemental. It just seems to have a much more versatile collection of spells. For example, without divine magic you couldn't heal yourself, cure ...

Re: Blue Meanies (Nidiara?)
I used high level divine magic buffs and blunt force. That is, Leatherskin, Nimbleness, Bless and Haste. Didn't even need Enchanted Weapon since they were pretty easy to hit.
