The awesomeness of the original games and the small but kind community of people who have found their way here and also love the games.

Re: New Website Testing

It really feels suspiciously like cached pages stuck in there. Look at the web address for the forums- it is now forums.basiliskgames.com . Previously it was basiliskgames.com/forums . If you have cached webdata or DNS info, that could be causing a lot of issues. See if you can just isolate ...

Re: New Website Testing

It may be iOS blocking "trackers."

Perhaps, but I can assure you Basilisk Games doesn't use any tracking code/cookies- our website is bespoke and doesn't use any 3rd party code. The forums use phpBB, but as far as I am aware, it doesn't track anything either. Cookies used for staying logged ...

Re: New Website Testing

Hmm, interesting. Well, one thing is that when we changed over, the forums now operate on a secure https configuration, and some browsers with old cached data may be having issues? Just a guess. It really seems to operate nominally for me on Windows (Firefox), Linux (LibreWolf), and Android (Brave ...

Re: New Website Testing

It may be that login doesn't seem to be persistent right now. I noticed when I came back to the site this afternoon, I saw that there was a new comment in General Chat, but when I came into that section, it didn't show me which conversation had the new post, but I saw that you had posted this ...

Re: The Sundered Anvil

Looks like some of the image links broke for the original post in this thread, Thomas. I'm sure it's all part of moving stuff around with the new site and hosting.

Re: New Website Testing

Get busy for a few days, don't check in on the forums, the whole world changes.

Looks great. I like the new website, too. Have only gone through the top few pages, but everything reads fine on my side. I also had the forums go back to Prosilver when I first logged back in, but as mentioned, going ...

Re: Work Update [June]

It's fun to see what all goes on in the background of making a game. As a player, we don't think how each of these things is a separate module that has to be built and come together to make the whole feel and activity of a game.

I'm with Painted Lady, though. Would love to see what the character ...

Re: What we've been working on [May Edition]

Sound like great updates. I think because of the cloak of invisibility in LotR, everyone thinks you need cloaks. Definitely rather not have to switch four characters between ranged and melee constantly.

Maybe you make it a game challenge to start out with four randomly generated characters and try ...

Following on this, will character development stay Eschalon style, with no fixed class trees? Will it be the same open character development, allowing us to create a wide variety of PCs?

Re: The Sundered Anvil

Looking forward to it, though as a MacHead, I may have to wait a little longer (or finally decide to pick myself up a Windows or Linux gaming rig).

First Person isn't generally my favorite game style, but I do enjoy the Bard's Tale games and some others that way. Will there be mini-map ...
