Perhaps in the second book it might be possible to show how long the character has played rather than (or in addition to) how long the user has played.

Although it is interesting to note how long I have been "on-line," so to speak with a character, that total time fails to account for me leaving ...

Can a level 1 character do the cartography quest. I am one of those who believe that automap should be automatic so I really don't like the idea of having to waste points on something that should be standard.

I believe a weapon or armour can be empowered only once. Whatever magic goes into it restructures the metal so that it can't accept any more magic. So, if you find something worth putting a '+' into, wait until you can do a +3 (the currant high) to do it. :D

My character had a total alchemy level of 13, including two Brewmaster rings.

I imbued a sword to +2 to hit and +2 damage, and did the same with a bow.

Like many others who've posted, I have both. I started playing this on a PPC Mini, migrated it to an Intel 24-inch iMac, and keep the adventure going when I'm on the road around the world on my new Intel Mac Book Pro.

Eschalon works great on all of them, even the Mini. The disc works great, too ...
